Caribbean Recording Industry Association…

The newly formed Caribbean Recording Industry Association (C.R.I.A.) will officially be launched on January 15, 2009.

Its main focus will be the development of Caribbean music.  With over 70 styles of music throughout the Caribbean and an uncertainty of where the music can go in the existing market, this organization has become a necessity.

The architects of this endeavor are Amanda Smith and Juneth Webson. Amanda Smith is a London based DJ with roots in Grenada and manages various artists. She launched her record label this year in London.  Juneth Webson of New York & Antigua brings to the organization over 10 years of experience in the music business from artists management to festival production.  She has a great understanding of marketing and promotion of Caribbean music.

Visit the organization websites to sign up www.caribria.com and also visit www.caribria.ning.com.  To contribute ideas on what you would like to see us do  or to make a financial contribution to the development of the organization please email:  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
