Star ANTIGUA 2008 will be a professionally produced event highlighting the extraordinary talent of Antiguan and Barbudans in the Performing Arts. This competition will see exhibitions of talent and artistry in dance, acting and voice.

Each discipline will feature the five best that Antigua has to offer. They will put not only their best foot forward but pour out their heart and soul in their quests to grab that ultimate golden star.

After all fifteen delegates would have competed, there will be an announcement of the winner in each category. The three finalists will have the option of improving their performance for the final stage of competition or pull another dynamic performance from their repertoire.

At the end of the night, one individual would have transcended from among the clouds to ultimately grabbing that coveted title of Star ANTIGUA 2008.

Our featured artist, Ms. Charmain Bailey was sought for one primary reason…to show all Antiguans that there are possibilities existing outside the four walls of our twin island state and we must always attempt to explore these horizons. Ms. Charmain Bailey did and now she has shown the world that Antigua and Barbuda has got talent! And lots of it too.

The date for the event is Friday 24th October 2008, 8:00 p.m. at the House of Culture, Old Parliament Building.
