First let me thank you for agreeing to do an interview with www.dadliscene.com. We at the site are huge fans of yours.
Shermain:
Aww thanks. It\'s my pleasure!

I was told that Supa Diamond of 100.1 SUN F.M. was the one who introduced you to our site; care to share that story?
Shermain:
Yeah, I did an interview with him just before carnival. I was introducing \"Let Me Be the One\", which is a song I wrote and is featured on the Chosen Sounds Wadadli Colors CD. He then told me about the site and I\'ve been viewing and listening ever since
Jiggámore::
That\'s good 2 know. When will the Chosen Sounds Wadadli Coulors CD be out?
Shermain:
It\'s already out. It was released for carnival
Jiggámore::
Ok Cool. How was 2008 Carnival for Shermain Jeremy?
Shermain:
I wasn\'t there unfortunately. This is my first time missing carnival in a long time, but I heard it was good this year
Jiggámore::
Yeah. It definitely was. Let\'s give our readers the scoop on you. Who is Shermain Jeremy and what makes you a \"Diva\"?
Shermain:
Although the term \"diva\" has negative connotations, in my eyes a \"diva\" is a fearless woman. she\'s not afraid to dream and dream big, She\'s not afraid to set trends and she\'s not afraid of failure
Jiggámore::
I agree with your definition of a Diva 100%!
Jiggámore::
But do you also live up to the typical stereotype of a \"Diva\"?
Shermain:
I don\'t think so, I don\'t consider myself a prima dona, although some may say that I can be bitchy, I think that\'s all a part of me always trying to be a perfectionist.
Jiggámore::
Ain\'t nothing wrong with a strong black woman having a little attitude.
Jiggámore::
Besides the Wadadli Coulors CD, what projects are you currently working on?
Shermain:
My personal album has been a work in progress for the last three years. We\'re scheduled for release next month (September).
Jiggámore::
I find the name of the album interesting. What can we expect on your debut Album, My Way, My Style?
Shermain:
It\'s certainly a personal album. I called it that because it\'s all me. There\'s no defining genre to describe the album...it\'s R&B, it\'s Pop, it\'s Reggae, it\'s Soul...it has everything
Jiggámore::
So it will give your fans a panoramic view into the life of Shermain Jeremy?
Shermain:
More or less...It\'s more of a musical journey than anything else.
Jiggámore::
That\'s sounds very appealing. Is it really Shermain\'s Way and Style? How important is it to have creative control over your music and image?
Shermain:
It\'s very important to me and most artists don\'t get the opportunity to be themselves, especially on their first album. The record label tells them what their image and sound should be. Being that my project is independent I get to just be me.
Jiggámore::
Are there any guest appearances on the album?
Shermain:
Vybz Kartel is the only one, but we have some other projects in the wing
Jiggámore::
Are you eager to work with anyone in particular in the future?
Shermain:
I would really like to work with other producers and songwriters
Shermain:
Ne-Yo, the Clutch and Dream maybe. I\'m really feeling DASECA out of Jamaica, There sound is very unique and fresh and that\'s right up my alley
Jiggámore::
Yeah. Those are some of my favorite writers and producers. They have a formula for blending classic ballads with futuristic sounds which works perfectly together. I can see you in that direction.
Shermain:
Yes I definitely agree
Jiggámore::
How do u feel when people compare you to other artist from the Caribbean, namely Heather Headley and Rihanna?
Shermain:
I\'ve never been compared to Heather Hedley before. I do get compared to Rihanna a lot, but I think that\'s just because we\'re both in the younger demographic and we\'re from the Caribbean
Shermain:
Rihanna is completely rock/pop. I\'m more of an R&B type of girl.
Jiggámore::
Cool. I\'m just proud to know that our small islands are showing the world what we have to offer them. What artist are you feeling....who is playing on Shermain listening to on her IPod?
Shermain:
I listen to a lot of old school R&B like Jodeci, Mary J. Blige. I love Alicia Keys\' new album as well as Ne-Yo\'s.
Jiggámore::
You are raking in awards like crazy! I think the most recent acknowledgment was \"Most Talented Female Singer\" at the Fourth Annual Underground Music Awards in New York City. What would you consider to be your greatest accomplishment to date?
Shermain:
Winning the UMA was a surprising accomplishment that I\'m very proud of, but winning the Talent Award in China is my greatest accomplishment because it put Antigua on the map.
Jiggámore::
Yeah. I foresee you putting Antigua on the map a few
