Charmain Bailey At the start of her career, Charmain was performing in hotels/resorts on the island. Charmain was soon introduced to the world of jazz, and promptly established her career in that genre. Her influences included local jazz gurus Courtney Whynter and Terry Lewis. In 1997, Charmain Bailey became the lead vocalist and 2nd percussionist for Jade Idols, who recorded a self-titled album the following year. In 2001, Jade Idols disbanded, and as each member pursued their own projects. Charmain however, concentrated on doing solo work at concerts, festivals, charity events and fine dining establishments. Charmain has duly performed with London’s finest musicians including Carole Allison, Orlando Valencia, Vinnie Vincenzo, and Dave Dillon Blues Band.
